Oware is a traditional African board game played in many West African countries. It is also known as Awari, Wari or Warri. The object of the game is to collect as many seeds as possible from the holes on the board. Each player has his own row of holes and takes turns collecting and sowing seeds. The game is very popular in countries such as Benin, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal and Ivory Coast, and is played for both fun and competition.
