Ferdinand says hello.
I was born in Benin, a West African country, and 18 years ago I moved to Barcelona, a beautiful and culturally diverse city.
These years in Europe gave me the opportunity to learn, experience, know and appreciate the European way of life. It’s so different from the African tradition!
Beyond the differences, I found that the two cultures have one thing in common: a love and respect for art and culture.
This, and the attraction for African culture that we noticed in Europe, inspired our family to create a project that integrates and fuses elements of both cultures: the richness of the raw materials, the quality of the craftsmanship and the color of Africa, with the dynamic European urban lifestyle.
Thus was born Afrika Color, a family project whose driving force is to share the spirit, vitality and joy of its inhabitants by offering products inspired by the African continent, throughout Europe.
All the products we offer are handmade by designers from the African continent, mainly from Benin.
They are people who love craftsmanship and carry out their work with great care and dedication.
One of them is Anne, a creative stylist thanks to whom we can offer you exclusive designs that combine the best African wax fabrics with European cuts.
Our philosophy is based on “know-how and love”. We are comfortable taking care of people, processes and the environment.
Each garment and each accessory is made one by one, using our own artisanal manufacturing process, in our workshops in Benin and Senegal.
Our production technique and material selection is influenced by the Beninese culture and tradition in which we grew up.
We make cheerful and colorful creations with 100% cotton African fabrics and handmade prints.
Each piece has its own personality and unique character, because when produced by hand and with different fabrics, no two are alike!
We have discovered that by taking it step by step, without rushing and respecting the rhythm of life, our creations are beautiful and powerful.
